KNOW WHAT WE KNOW
ABOUT SEARCH, ADS AND THE WEB
Insights is where TheFactory Agency publishes what its SEO, advertising and development teams learn on live work: explainers for people new to a discipline, guides for people running one, and updates for when the platforms we all depend on change. Everything here is written in-house, by the people doing the work.

The free tools our team opens first, what each is good at, and what none of them can tell you.

The event model, the setup order, and the configuration mistakes we fix most often.
OpenGoogle Page Experience
Core Web Vitals in plain language: what is measured, how, and what it is worth.
OpenWhat is Digital Marketing?
The channels, what each one is actually for, and how to sequence them on a real budget.
Open/HOW WE DECIDE
WHAT GOES ON THIS PAGE
We have done it
Nothing is published here because it is trending. A guide gets written when the same problem has come up often enough on real accounts that we have a repeatable answer for it — and it gets revised when that answer stops being true.
It is specific enough to act on
A page that tells you to “create quality content” has cost you the time it took to read it. We aim for the level of detail where you could hand the page to a developer or a campaign manager and they would know what to change.
We say when we do not know
Search platforms change without warning and rarely explain themselves. Where the honest answer is “it depends” or “nobody outside the platform knows”, that is what we write, together with how we would test it on your account.
/WHAT YOU WILL NOT
FIND HERE
No rewritten vendor announcements. No client names, screenshots or performance figures published without written permission from the client who owns them. No invented benchmarks — if we quote a number, it comes either from our own measurement, described so you can judge it, or from a named public source you can check.
That makes this section grow more slowly than a content calendar would. It also means that when something does appear here, you can act on it.
SOMETHING YOU WANT
US TO COVER?
Tell us the question you cannot get a straight answer to. If it is a good question, it becomes a guide — and in the meantime, someone from the relevant team will answer it directly.
- Search Optimization — SEO, AI and answer-engine visibility, local search
- Advertising — paid search, shopping and paid social
- Development — builds, migrations, integrations and maintenance
